May 4th, 2018 is a day that will be long remembered among comic book fans, as it’ll signal the launch of Avengers: Infinity War – the event movie to end all event movies.
That’s a historic feat in and of itself, and one that has evidently caught the industry’s attention, but Marvel Studios is on the verge of commemorating another movie milestone – a decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Yes, it’s going on 10 years since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man first took flight on May 2nd, 2008 – for those in North America, at least – and to pay tribute to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, one talented YouTuber has now pieced together a beautiful and epic new video that celebrates the Avengers in all their glory. From the good times to the bad, it encompasses it all and you can check it out up above.
Set to Thirty Seconds To Mars’ “This Is War,” the video’s edited together wonderfully, showing off a number of highlights from the past decade of the MCU. Using clips from numerous films – Doctor Strange, Civil War, Infinity War, The Avengers, Age of Ultron, etc. – we’re given an emotional ride through the franchise which allows us the chance to reflect on just how incredible the last 10 years have been. Sure to excite and hype up any self-respecting Marvel fan, this music video is definitely worth a watch and a big shoutout goes to Vera Genesis for creating it.
Avengers: Infinity War will grace theaters on May 4th and once it does, the MCU will never be the same again. Closer to home, the buzz surrounding Black Panther has been electric, with Ryan Coogler’s critically-adorned spinoff expected to claw its way into U.S. cinemas this Friday, February 16th, with analysts predicting a massive opening weekend.
