Ric Flair set to make feature film debut

According to The Wrap, wrestling star Ric Flair has signed on to make his feature film debut. The movie is an R-rated dramedy titled Uncle Steamroller & Champion Rabbit

Apparently, it’s a wrestling movie. The plot follows a war veteran who is a former pro wrestling champion as he tries to regain his glory days in the ring. Flair is going to play the head of the fictional wrestling promotion, the “World Wrestlign Union,” which in the story is based in Las Vegas.

“I really like this wonderfully written script and find it to be very entertaining,” Flair said. “The edgy sense of humour is great, but the story also has a good heart. I’m expecting the inspirational story line will appeal to fans that extend beyond my loyal core wrestling base, and I am seriously looking forward to getting this film in front of worldwide audiences.”

Flair will also have money in the film, serving as an executive producer along with his wife, Wendy Barlow.

Flair, 69, had a massive health scare last year that nearly cost him his life. Thankfully, he’s come through it, and will now move on to this film project.
