“Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives.”

You’ve heard of the Sorcerer Supreme, the Winter Soldier, the First Avenger and King T’Challa, but what about Marvel’s Mad Titan?

Otherwise known as Thanos, the chief antagonist of Avengers: Infinity War (and indeed the entire MCU thus far) is a being of untold power and strength. His cosmic roots can be traced back to the doomed world of Titan, where he was ousted for his genius, physical deviancy, and “pragmatic but monstrous ideas.” Yikes.

But now, the Mad Titan plans to utilize the power of all six Infinity Stones – that’d be Time, Reality, Power, Mind, Soul and Space – to wipe out half of all life in the universe. He’s the Marvel equivalent of a Machiavellian, essentially, and in this newly released TV spot that you’ll find up above, he’s finally arrived on Earth, ready to carry out his plan. That can only spell trouble for the Avengers, as this footage teases that the villain poses a threat the likes of which they’ve never seen.

Yes, make no mistake about it. Thanos is on a quest for those Stones and he’ll do anything he has to to get his hands on them. It won’t be easy to stop him, either, as we’ve already been told that it’ll cost the Avengers dearly to defeat the Mad Titan, with director Joe Russo describing him as an unbeatable force in a recent interview:

“I mean it’s like death comes to call for the Avengers, it’s a nearly unbeatable force who is determined to destroy half the life in the universe in order to bring it into balance. He sees it as an overgrown garden that he needs to prune. As you mentioned he is fairly invincible. He’s a sort of genetic mutation who’s the Genghis Khan of the universe. Unbeatable on the battlefield and stronger than the Hulk. His skin is invincible, so it’s going to cost the Avengers something to defeat him.”

Avengers: Infinity War is now just a few days away from hitting theaters and we fully expect it to unfold across an epic, near-unprecedented scope. It appears we’re in for a treat, too, as the review embargo lifted yesterday and the film has already been certified Fresh over on Rotten Tomatoes.

Bruce Banner bows before T’Challa, current wielder of the Black Panther mantle and the rightful king of Wakanda, in this newly-released clip for Avengers: Infinity War.

First aired on Good Morning America, where the likes of Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie swung by to discuss all things Infinity War, the footage above sees a bumbling Bruce arrive in Wakanda alongside Captain America, Black Widow and an amused War Machine, who watches as his fellow Avenger makes a fool out of himself in front of T’Challa and the Dora Milaje.

It’s the same fish-out-of-water humor that defined Thor: Ragnarok, the cosmic threequel in which Mark Ruffalo’s Jade Giant was crowned champion of Sakaar – much to the bemusement of Point Break Thor. And from the looks of things, this particular sequence takes place long after Hulk’s early encounter with Thanos, one which will presumably have massive ramifications for the remainder of Infinity War.

Chances are that prologue results in Loki surrendering the Tesseract (read: Space Stone) to Thanos, though whether this is a means of brokering peace or some deceitful ploy to join the Mad Titan remains to be seen – remember, Tom Hiddleston’s anti-hero is the God of Mischief, so there’s really no telling what’s going on in that twisted mind of his.

Nevertheless, eagle-eyed viewers have already noticed that Thanos winds up gaining two Infinity Stones by the time Avengers 3 nears its conclusion – peer close enough and you’ll notice that, once the Infinity War trailers switch to Titan, the Infinity Gauntlet holds both the Space and Power gems, which only spells all sorts of trouble for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

And we’ll start to see the full effects of Thanos’ grand masterplan once Avengers: Infinity War begins its theatrical rollout on Friday, April 27th.

After two films, one Infinity Stone, and more in-fighting than you could shake a blaster at, the Guardians of the Galaxy are beginning to find their groove.

So much so, in fact, that James Gunn’s A-holes will be a tight-knit unit by the time Avengers: Infinity War rolls around next week. They’ll seemingly enjoy a great role in the Marvel crossover, too, even if the film belongs to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes – from Hawkeye to the bearded Captain America, directors Joe and Anthony Russo left no stone unturned when assembling their gigantic character roster.

But from everything we’ve seen so far, it looks like the two groups of heroes won’t get along at first. We already know that Star-Lord won’t take too kindly to Thor – nor does he seem to be a fan of Spidey, either – and now, thanks to the new TV spot above, it looks like Rocket will take some time to warm up to them, too. When Peter Parker tries to explain who the Avengers are, with a bit of help from the God of Thunder, Bradley Cooper’s talking animal simply shrugs the heroes off, saying “I’ve never heard of them.”

So, while it may take a while for everyone to get on the same page, we’ve no doubt that the Guardians are going to be a highlight in the film. From what we’ve heard, they haven’t lost their mojo since encountering the planet-sized Ego in James Gunn’s spacefaring sequel – if anything, Star-Lord and Co. have only grown into a bona fide team since their escapades in outer space. And not a moment too soon.

For in Avengers: Infinity War, they’ll come up against Thanos, a Mad Titan with only one thought in his mind: to wipe out half the universe by collecting all six Infinity Stones. And though they may take a backseat to Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on April 27th,  Chris Pratt recently assured fans that our favorite team of A-holes will still get their moment to shine.

As far as Avengers: Infinity War‘s release schedule is concerned, it seems as if Marvel Studios has officially entered crunch time.

The film is complete, of course, but with less than a week to go until release, the Powers That Be are beginning to tread that fine line between promoting Infinity War and spoiling Infinity War. From clips to TV spots and everything in between, we’ve seen an awful lot from the movie in recent weeks and today, that continues with yet another promo that unfortunately, mostly features recycled footage.

What’s interesting about this one, however, is that it takes us back to the start. Not the start of the MCU, mind you, but to the titular team’s first outing together – 2012’s The Avengers. Remember that film? Yeah, it’s only one of the highest grossing movies, ever, and here, we get a look at its famous Battle of New York finale, which kicks the promo off before we transition to footage from Infinity War itself.

It’s short and sweet and frankly, that’s okay. Because with only a few days left until the event movie to end all event movies hits theaters, Marvel Studios is seriously running the risk of spoiling Avengers: Infinity War prior to its grand debut. After all, a film of this size and scope practically sells itself (it has upwards of 23 heroes, for crying out loud!), so we’re hopeful that those in charge will begin to rein things in now that April 27th is right around the corner – I know, we can hardly believe it, either.

And when Joe and Anthony Russo’s herculean blockbuster does arrive, it’ll reportedly be looking at an opening weekend in the region of $235 million. How’s that for a slice of fried gold?

With exactly 10 days left until D-day, the Avengers: Infinity War promos are beginning to arrive thick and fast.

First up was this morning’s blistering TV spot that had Spidey go toe-to-toe with Thanos (AKA Marvel’s Mad Titan), before Marvel Studios rolled out an extensive featurette to commemorate 10 years of the MCU. And it doesn’t end there, either, as we’ve now got yet another new teaser which sees Wakanda – and our heroes – preparing for the arrival of Josh Brolin’s big bad, who’s headed there to get his hands on the Mind Stone, which currently resides in Vision’s head.

As far as new footage goes, this latest TV spot doesn’t have much, save for a few shots here and there, but with less than two weeks to go before release, that’s absolutely fine. After all, after 10 years and 18 films, this upcoming conclusion to a decade-long journey is sure to bring about more than a few surprises and why spoil them all ahead of time, right?

Circling back to Thanos and his quest for those all-powerful Infinity Stones, though, and it’s apparently going to cost the Avengers dearly if they’re to stop him, with director Joe Russo describing the Mad Titan as an unbeatable force in a recent interview:

“I mean it’s like death comes to call for the Avengers, it’s a nearly unbeatable force who is determined to destroy half the life in the universe in order to bring it into balance. He sees it as an overgrown garden that he needs to prune. As you mentioned he is fairly invincible. He’s a sort of genetic mutation who’s the Genghis Khan of the universe. Unbeatable on the battlefield and stronger than the Hulk. His skin is invincible, so it’s going to cost the Avengers something to defeat him.”

“Evacuate the city. Engage all defenses. And get this man a shield.” Avengers: Infinity War is poised to whisk viewers back to Wakanda and its bustling metropolis on April 27th. And we couldn’t be more excited.

You know how you often wait ages for a bus, only for three to show up at once?

The same can be said about Deadpool 2‘s marketing blitz, which has dropped seven – count ’em, seven – promos in as many days.

Granted, this being a Deadpool film, a lot of the newly-released footage features Wade Wilson poking fun at his fellow characters and, as was the case on Sunday evening, entirely different IP, after Fox dropped three timely TV spots in honor of The Walking Dead‘s season finale. You’ve heard of The Walking Dead, but how about The Walking Deadpool?

In order to keep that momentum burning bright, the Powers That Be have now rolled out yet another pair of Deadpool 2 TV spots, and this time around, the Merc goes toe-to-toe with his new frenemies: Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz).

They’re undoubtedly the headline-worthy newcomers of Deadpool 2, and at least based on today’s one-two punch, they’re about to push Wade Wilson to his absolute limit. Not that he would have it any other way, given Ryan Reynolds’ gun-toting mercenary revels in anarchy.

But when it comes to the actual plot of Deadpool 2, it appears Josh Brolin’s time traveler, Nathan Summers, will pose the biggest threat to Wade Wilson, given he’s prepared to go through hell and high water in order to retrieve Julian Dennison’s fire-wielding mutant. Chances are he’s playing Russell Collins (AKA Firefist) in the upcoming sequel, though given the sheer amount of secrecy that’s engulfed Deadpool 2 from the very beginning, we’ll have to wait until May 18th before we have an official answer.

Are you ready for the second coming?

It’s been two years now since the staggering success of Tim Miller’s Deadpool – $363 million on home turf for a global total in excess of $780 million – and the Merc with a Mouth is on his way back to theaters, thank the heavens, with Deadpool 2, a high-octane sequel that’s expected to up the ante quite considerably.

For proof of that, you only need to look at the addition of Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Cable (Infinity War‘s Josh Brolin), two fan-favorite mutants who are about to give the Merc a run for his money when it comes to supernatural abilities. The latter is said to be pretty crucial to the overall story, too, which shouldn’t be all that surprising to those familiar with the Nathan Summers of Marvel’s X-Men comics.

But today the focus is not on Cable. Instead, it’s on three cheeky new promos which aired tonight alongside The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead (not to mention after-show Talking Dead), seemingly as part of an unexpected cross-promotion deal between AMC and Fox. Up above you’ll find the one that aired with TWD, while below you can lay eyes on the TV spots that followed with Fear and Talking, and though none of them are that long, they’re sure to put a smile on your face.

True, they contain mostly the same footage that we’ve already seen, but there’s just something so entertaining about anything starring that Merc with a Mouth that we’re more than happy to sink our teeth into these as the promotional campaign continues to ramp up. It’s one that’s been pretty busy lately, too, bringing with it posters, photos and that awesome full-length trailer from back in March.

Not that we’re complaining, mind you. Now that X-Men: Dark Phoenix has slipped into 2019 – rumor has it that Fox and Simon Kinberg are bracing for “extensive reshoots” that will involve overhauling the film’s third act – it’s totally understandable that the studio devote their full attention to the upcoming sequel, which is the closest thing to a sure-fire hit that we’re likely to see in the blockbuster space…Avengers: Infinity War notwithstanding.

And it all kicks off on May 18th. The question, really, is whether Deadpool 2 can emulate the box office success of its predecessor, which blew past all expectations on its journey to $783 million worldwide. Time will tell, but we remain hopeful.

Another day, another new TV spot for Avengers: Infinity WarThis time, though, the spotlight’s placed on Scarlet Witch, as the clip features a few words from actress Elizabeth Olsen spliced in with footage from Marvel’s upcoming blockbuster.

In the promo – seen above – Olsen promises that her character will get to do a lot more fighting in this film than she’s done in her previous two appearances – namely, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. Not only that, but Wanda will apparently be much more in control of her powers this time around. Scarlet Witch’s fear of her abilities was discussed before in Civil War, so it’s interesting to note that she’s come to terms with what she can do in the interim.

The TV spot wraps up with Olsen being quizzed on how many of the other heroes in Infinity War she can name. It might be telling that the three characters the actress immediately rolls out are Gamora, Nebula and Okoye. Could these be a few of the co-stars that Scarlet Witch will spend the most time with in the movie? It’s possible, as we have heard that there’ll be a surprising connection between Wanda and Nebula, and we know that Wakanda – Okoye’s homeland – will play a major role, too.

Mostly, though, Wanda will be paired with Vision in Infinity War and it’s certain that the movie will move the couple forward quite significantly from where we saw them last. It was clear they had a connection at the time, but in this film, it seems that they’ll be very much in love, with Wanda’s company making the android a lot more human – literally, actually, as Paul Bettany will get to show his actual face for once. That should make it all the tougher for Olsen’s fan favorite when Vision’s targeted by Thanos’ Black Order.

As the promo says, you can catch Scarlet Witch doing her thing in Avengers: Infinity War, which hits cinemas on April 27th and, if early estimates are anything to go by, will break a few records when it does.

“So, to become an Avenger, are there like trials or an interview?”

With two MCU credits already to his name (read: Civil WarSpider-Man: Homecoming), Tom Holland is gearing up for his biggest Marvel role to date: Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s a cinematic crossover 10 years in the making, but on the ground level, a handful of fans are now beginning to wonder whether Holland’s Peter Parker can be classified as an Avenger after downing the Vulture and fighting alongside Team Iron Man during the throes of Civil War. Well, according to the man himself, yes, he can be. Or at least, he calls himself one in the new promo up above.

Though far from the best quality, this latest bit of footage actually contains some new material, including the moment when Peter meets Peter. Or, should we say, when Spider-Man meets Star-Lord. The teenage vigilante and the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy will come together as part of Iron Man’s group, and here, we see Chris Pratt’s fan favorite seemingly going on the offensive as he grabs Spidey and asks who he is, to which Tom Holland’s hero replies, “I’m with the Avengers, man.”

Thankfully, Thor’s there as well and explains to Star-Lord that they’re Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, presumably before he asks Mr. Quill to join them in their fight against the Mad Titan Thanos. We know from a previous promo that that initial conversation doesn’t go too well, but we’ve no doubt that the Guardians will eventually come around and join up with the God of Thunder and the rest of the gang.

And while the promo ends shortly after that, there’s no reason to be disappointed, as there’s now less than two weeks to go before we get to see the real deal. Yes, it’s almost here folks. Avengers: Infinity War will be with us on April 27th and we can hardly wait.

The Guardians of the Galaxy play host to an uninvited guest in this newly released promo for Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel’s historic crossover that is now so close we can almost feel the shimmering, cosmic power emanating from Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet.

Because after close to seven years of far-flung threats and general brooding, the Mad Titan is finally – finally! – ready to exert his dominance, beginning with a close encounter involving Loki and the God of Thunder himself, Thor. Initially teased at the tail-end of Thor: Ragnarok, it’s this spectacular event that ultimately places Chris Hemsworth’s hero on a collision course with the Guardians of the Galaxy – and, specifically, the Milano’s windshield – who reluctantly agree to bring him on board so that Mantis can work her magic.

Cue a rib-tickling scene where Star-Lord makes his voice deeper, presumably in an effort to impress the mighty God of Thunder. But that’s not all, as this latest TV spot has a lot more new footage to feast on, including Doctor Strange warning the Avengers of Thanos, M’Baku charging into action and Thor asking Peter Quill to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Hopefully they’ll agree, for in Avengers: Infinity War, the gang will come up against the aforementioned Thanos, a Mad Titan with only one thought in his mind: to wipe out half the universe by collecting all six Infinity Stones. And though they may take a backseat to the Avengers on April 27th, Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt recently assured fans that our favorite team of A-holes will still get their moment to shine.

After 10 years and 18 movies, the Marvel Studios logo has arguably become a hallmark of quality the likes of which we haven’t seen since the heyday of Amblin. And it’s that 10-year legacy that has allowed Avengers: Infinity War to become one of the biggest movies of 2018.
